Master planning 'charette' for a new town.

Feria Urbanism worked with Inspire East, Dacorum Borough Council, CABE and Contemporary Transport to organise and run an interactive design event to develop a vision for the future of Hemel Hempstead town centre, a major urban area in Hertfordshire, north of London.

Richard Eastham chaired the event and coordinated the outputs from a series of tasks regarding the economy, sustainable development and access and movement. High quality architecture and design in the context of a 1960s New Town was a particularly interesting discussion during the event. Feria has produced report setting out ideas for change and recommendations for future work.
